Virginia, thank you so much for forwarding that lovely letter you wrote to Flying W Farms. I know they will be just thrilled to hear how happy you are and how well Koda is doing!

He is the most kind hearted and generous guy, along with being so intelligent and willing to please he is a tremendous pleasure to work with and I feel very fortunate in having the opportunity to train him.

Fredericka,
I just wanted to write you and tell you what a grand horse Koda is. I love him so much and not just because he is beautiful, but because he has the best personality....like a Golden Retriever. We were not able to find pictures of Koda from the dressage show where he placed first in both tests, so we sent these instead. He was awesome. The judges loved him. He definitely makes my jaw drop and when I ride him at the barn people stop and watch and I hear them say "What a beautiful horse." In those pictures of me riding him, it was the day after Thanksgiving and there were a lot of people out at the barn and I was out working him to show my parents the AWESOME progress he has made and a woman stopped and said "Oh my gosh, that is a beautiful horse!" She stood and watched us for a while. Koda is a favorite at the barn. He always is on the carrot list with all the women. One particular lady said that if I were to ever sell him she would want to know. She said she did not know what she would do with him, but she had to have him. He tries so hard to please my trainer and I. When I ride I can feel him trying to do as I ask and when I praise him I think to him that is better than any amount of carrots he could get. My trainer Ann loves him a lot. She says he is a great horse and he definitely tries to please you and do as you ask. She said he learns quick and loves to learn. She loves coming out and working with him. Koda has truly been a blessing to me. I cannot imagine my life without this wonderful horse and I am truly thankful that you brought him to my attention. I do not know if you remember, but I saw another horse on your website and he was like Koda, but brown. He was so beautiful and I fell in love with him. When we got in touch with you about him he had been sold, I was sad about it. I was in California visiting family at the time and mom called and said that you had sent us a video of another horse and told me his coloring and what you had told her about Koda. I told her I did not think so, that the other horse was what I wanted and I would wait a while and see what came along. She told me to just watch the video when I got in. So, after that phone call this mysterious horse was on my mind a lot. He was the color I had always wanted and I thought, I will see what happens. The minute I got home I grabbed the DVD and put it in. Within 15 seconds of watching it I knew he was the one for me. He spoke to my heart and I fell head over heels. Thank you Fredericka, Robin and George for breeding and raising the most wonderful horse.

I look forward to many years with him.

Hello Flying W Farms family,
I just wanted to share this video with you of Koda. This is from his first dressage show in Tryon, SC at FENCE. He got first place in both classes that he was entered in!! One class had six other horses and another had twelve. The lady riding him is Abigail his trainer before he moved down to Wilmington, NC to be with me. He had only been in training with Abigail for about 4 months before going to this show. He is a wonderful horse and is very smart and eager to please. My new trainer is a silver medallist with the USDF and she thinks he is going to go places!! She thinks he is a wonderful horse and has great conformation. I can't wait to see where he takes us!!
Thanks for a wonderful horse!!!!

Frederick, Robin,
These are a couple pictures from the horse show we took Prince Koda to on 4/19. This was a hunter show held by a local riding club. This was his first show under saddle. In fact, his rider is a young gal named Abigail Wiley who is training him for Virginia. Virginia is in Wilmington, NC 350 miles away and couldn't take Koda with her for the time being. Abigail has been riding him 3 times a week for only a month now. Prior to this the last time Koda was under saddle was Sept 07. So he is a great student and looks and moves beautifully. He knows it too. He took 2 blue ribbons this day in his division. Only groundwork. Virginia doesn't want to jump him. Dressage is the goal. He will be going to some dressage shows later this summer.
Thanks,
Mark

Koda and Virginia September 2007

My trainer (Tom) used Koda Tuesday for a lesson with a gentleman (Joe) at our barn who is going to start
Halter class with his Percheron/Friesian Cross and Koda was awesome. He is so well behaved and he has
gotten to the point where he knows what you want before you ask. My trainer trotted him then had him whoa and went to stand in front of him to stand him up and by the time Tom was about to ask Koda to get in place he had already done it! He was very patient and eager to please Joe. It was wonderful to watch!!

Take care,

Fredericka and Robin,
Hello and hope you are all well. I just wanted to send you a quick note to tell you about Koda. He is doing very well. We have been riding him for several months now and he catches on so quick. I can tell that he is so eager to please. Two weekends ago we took him to a show and I rode him in the warm-up ring with some
other horses and he did soooo well!! I was very proud of him. He turned many heads and I passed around your website info to many people. They are impressed with how well behaved he is and they are very interested in his breed. All that I can tell them is that I am one very happy and proud mom. Koda had truly been a gift to me. He has such a gentle spirit and I find that he is a big comfort when I need a lift in my spirits. He seems to know when I need his love. I am so thankful that I stumbled across your website more than 2 years ago because he has been a wonderful blessing. I could not be happier. Iattached a few photos of he and I for your enjoyment. Thank you for breeding and raising such a wonderful horse!!
Love,
Virginia and Koda
