Dear Fredericka, George and Robin,
I hope that this finds everyone doing well. Here are a few recent pictures of Sonja. She is now 4 years old and changed so much. She has really grown and filled out but has retained her amazing sweet disposition and personality. We look forward to this summers shows and trail rides. We love her dearly.
Have a wonderful summer!

Dear Fredericka, George & Robin,
Hello! I hope that this finds you all doing great.
We had another great weekend with Sonja. She has become a traveler. Friday she was at the Ohio State Fair. Patrick (our trainer) put her in an open class, voice commands only. She does great here, however they arrived at the fairgrounds she experienced her first helicopter and was not amused whatsoever. I think it rattled her a bit because when she was turned loose in the arena she paid only slight attention to Patrick and wanted to visit with everyone on the rail. She did her walk, trot, canter but was more interested in the people, instead of giving her total attention to Patrick. She did however, come immediately when called to the center and backed with her full attention on Patrick and that at least landed them in 4th place. We then had her at our local open show on Sunday. There she and Lauren (our 8 yr old daughter) took 4th place. Sonja is so good with Lauren. She loves little kids. She will be again at our fairgrounds for open shows in 2 weeks. She is an amazing horse. Thank you so much Fredericka, George & Robin.

Sincerely,
Darci

Dear Robin, Fredericka and George,

Princess Sonja is sooooo amazing!! Last Sunday our trainers Patrick and his wife Mary took her to an open show. For not ever experiencing a crowded show ring and grounds, she acted like there was nothing to it. She took it all in with so much ease. Here is a picture of her with Mary riding at the show. Again, I am no photographer. She did really well and we were so proud of her.

Tonight, we spent the evening with her. Again, she amazed us. Ryan (our older son) and Tim have been riding her. She has allot of power and go and with those long legs she can really cover allot of ground. Tonight just on a whim, Patrick tossed Lauren (our 8 yr. old) into the saddle, no stirrups, and Sonja walked so gingerly. Lauren rode her around and thru the cones, figure eights, over the tarp, thru the hanging tarp. Sonja knew that she had a child on her and she was being extra careful. A few times Lauren had to do a little prodding, but Sonja did everything Lauren asked of her. Sonja has excellent manners. I wish that I had my camera with me, because it was really a sight to see. This tall, leggy black horse and this little girl. Lauren looked like a peanut in the saddle and was all smiles.

Patrick and Mary are heading to Ohio State in 2 weeks and are planning on taking her along. If they do I will be sure to get pictures to you.

We hope that everything is going well with you and that George's recovery has gone smoothly.

Take care and God Bless, Darci
